Organised criminal groups are active in casinos, nightclubs, prostitution and elsewhere, however serious crime is rare and people unconnected with such groups have not been specifically targeted. 

As with anyone traveling  there is obviously a risk of accidental injury from incidents.  Be aware that, on occasion, some tourists have been subject to overcharging in some late night bars and clubs.
 
It is important that you are aware that many local authority officials and police officers do not speak English.
